To me this new invention: the winebeer sounds quite weird. Just hearing its name I start getting all kinds of flashbacks as: cherrycoke, this drink with cherry and coke mixed together (puaghhhh!) about which it was nothing good except for the melody of its ad (mostly because it was catchy) and K2, and I’m not talking about the mountain but about that invention that some enlightened mind had of mixing dark and Virginia tobacco in one cigarette ... (no comment).

Luckily the ideologues who have taken this step have not gone further than white wine so we will not have to hear about a grotesque mix of red wine with beer. To mix red wine with something we already have the Coke which also originates such a social, cheap and rooted in popular culture drink as the “calimocho”, which even has its name in Spanish and all. That’s quality.

Yeast is an essential element to elaborate beer, since thanks to it the sugars turn into alcohol. In the process of brewing it usually stays at the bottom of the maturation tanks, depending on its kind.

Benefits of the yeast

It is often said that beer is good for health. And in good measure and with no abuse, it is true, as it has many and distinct advantages to the organism. Among the most notable, medicine recognize that it helps people with some anemia, it controls weight and provides many proteins.

In addition, the yeast purifies the skin, contains iron, vitamin B and it's rich in folic acid, strengthening the body in times of our lives when we are stressed and spend a lot of energy.

I always write about wine: which wines are my favorites, curious things about wine, new wines or wines I want to try. But truth is that I also love beer. In fact, there are times when a beer replaces any other option. That happens for example, when we are at home with friends, ready to see any of those football games that end up making history, in and out of the screen.
